i walk mostly every weekend in an organized walk somewhere in the Netherlands, and during those walks i combine two passions,photographing and walking, although i walk basicly real long distances. i try and create circumstances to take good pictures as possible, i experienced that walking events are quit good for making pictures.
i post here, pictures of nature, , and what is in and on the country side /villages/ towns and city's and daily life in general in different parts of the Netherlands, during different season's and weather situation's ,
I also take pictures of life and nature of what is coming on my daily path, if i do not walk
I use a Nikon D7000 for my non walking pictures and a Panasonic DMZ- TZ4 for walking pictures, both are very fine Camera's, it is not possible for the distances and terrain i sometimes walk trough to use the Nikon.
I thank every one who commented on my work and gave me warm compliments and advice
I do use paintshop pro on as little occasions as possible, what you see is like it was, the only thing i might do is to crop ore do something about the brightness or contrast, i actually like foto's the way they are taken, the most(straight from the lens)

From 14-02-2010 i will change the format of my stream, due to little time i will not upload complete sets from walks anymore but load only solitairy photo's and if they are taken at an orginized walk
than i will add the name as an tag,
I also made English the main language in this side, and will only use Dutch, German, French Italian or Spanish when commenting

    "I only know Dirk via Flickr, but I've gotten to know him as a very kind guy. Really not something I expected when I signed up on Flickr, but I'm very glad I met him and have discovered his photostream.
    He travels alot, including in our own little country. Pretty much every week he shows us where he has been. I love to browse these photo's and see what kind of beautifull places our country hides; most of them I've never seen before! What I find very good about what he shows us is his eye for the things we take for granted, but is very interesting for foreingers to see and read about.
