I am a retired railway signalman having worked in signalboxes for 45 years. My main interests are transport in general but railways and SAAB cars in particular. I also like photography, cooking and travelling. My sports interests are Motor Sport , and Ice Hockey (Toronto Maple Leafs).
My first camera like most people was a Box Brownie which was followed by a Ensign Selfix 820. Colour photography used a Halina, Yashica and, then various Canon cameras to a EOS 300 which I still own and only stopped useing in spring 2009 when I took my last colour slides. My digital pictures are on ether a Canon S70 or a Canon SX10IS which I have replaced the EOS300 with, I still use both cameras as the S70 is a very good camera to keep in the pocket for those times when you can't or don't want to carry all your gear around with you.
