If music is my first love then photography comes a close second. Having said that, my interest in photography laid dormant for some time and has only resurfaced in the last couple of years.

Used to do a lot of freelancing in the 70's and 80's - mostly for the local newspapers as well as both the music and alternative press. Also did stage photography, portraiture and some weddings but never really liked the latter.

On the equipment front I use either a Panasonic Lumix TZ1, a Canon 400D or a Canon 50D; the equipment isn't important, it's the image that counts. I tend to carry the Lumix around with me most days for those sudden flashes of inspiration.

Really like the concept behind Flickr and the community within it (especially the Nottingham group) and the whole process of making contact and talking to people in distant lands - I think it's wonderful. A far cry from the past when you're work was only seen in local publications and that was if you were lucky.
