day of the living dead

Interesting, and a must read! I have been saying this for years about photography equipment:
www.kenrockwell.com/tech/25-vs-5000-camera.htm
"Maybe because it's entirely an artist's eye, patience and skill that makes an image and not his tools. Even Ansel said "The single most important component
of a camera is the twelve inches behind it."" -Rockwell

I am a graduate of Loyalist College's print journalism program and owner/creator of NocturnElle Photography.
I am also now a certified Welder :)

I am an artist, first and foremost and I have been photographing since I can even remember.
I push the envelope with my photographs, striving for the unique photo, the edgy photo, the photo that speaks without saying a thing.
I do not like typicalities, and photographic trends (i.e. bokeh, HDRs). I like simple yet edgy and raw photos.

Lush lamenting

I have had the pleasure of working alongside great photographers such as world reknown photographer and author, Jack Chiang.

    Burnsland (Steve Burns) says:

"Naomi has a great eye for photography. And some wonderfully artistic pictures, too! I enjoy seeing her vision and the things she comes up with - truly unique. And she's nice, too!"

"So, I was exploring one group’s mural, but then one caught totally my attention; Naomi's portrait was different than everything I had seen in the other photographsl; expressive, emotive, and a little bit creepy...:) I am so curious, I entered her profile and started to explore her photo stream. There are over 732535673 users in Flickr, but Naomi’s work deserves your attention and your time, i swear. I have no words to describe her shots, each one is different from the other. Her self-portraits are always so expressive, and her Wedding photography is a must. I admire this woman, as an awesome photographer and as a great person. She always appreciates comments and each one of the stops on her albums. I have no doubts, she will make it BIG. Thank you so much for motivating me with your works, I admire you.
Keep on the excellent work, Naomi!
    :)"

    MHBaker says:

"When I stumbled across Naomi’s account I was in “Awe” I truly felt that I knew nothing about Photography by seeing diversity in her creativeness unlike any other, and on top of that maintaining a level of Professionalism. Naomi’s has been blessed in being able to infuse her schooling with her personality (which in itself astounds me) and it shows in her abilities to create photos that range from Gentle to Brash! Versatility is one of her biggest strengths, and I have been honored in viewing this woman’s enjoyment! Hope you’re doing well, and again Congratulations on your engagement; Mark"

    C.J. Herrick says:

"Naomi is a wonderful artist. She is clever and inventive with wedding shots, giving a journalistic approach. She invites all comments and appreciates all stops on her photo stream, which is a treasure chest of photographs. I'd like to say that all of us here on Flickr live one frame at a time...Naomi doesn't take pictures, she takes photographs. Thanks, Naomi, for sharing your lovely art with all of us on Flickr."
