  "Novijka considers herself a complete photographic novice. While it is true that she has only recently started out, Novijka has a great eye and brings an intuitive sense and aesthetic to the art that allows her to produce beautiful pieces.
  
  Some of Novijka's best pieces, which for me include 'i want to believe', 'confusion', 'i would love to touch you', 'one day' and 'enlightenment' have a spiritual yearning laced through them that immediately arrest the viewer.
  
  Novijka's stream is full of fresh and varied styles, moods and themes. It is clear from pieces like 'mountains..my world..my love' and other beautiful landscapes that Novijka has a deep connection to place and this love comes through her art.
  
  More recently Novijka has made a dramatic and hugely successful leap into macro photography. Working in a genre that is often cliched and uninteresting, Novijka has produced spectacular and richly metaphoric pieces that have taken her art to an whole new level. 'Reaching for comprehension', 'All by myself', 'I don't need your protection, let me grow in my strength' are wonderful pieces full of the verve and confidence that increasingly characterises Novijka's work. 'The paths of our life' (another inspired piece) are certainly better for Novijka walking down them, camera in hand.
  
  Novijka is hugely supportive of other flickr members and I personally value each of her enthusiastic and insightful comments. I am really glad to have Novijka as a flickr friend.
