I was schooled during the beginning of a technology boom (circuits created with VLSI technology were just starting to take hold), witnessed several more (each one heralded as "the last, great boom"), and I will probably pass during another. Every time the technology changes, through design or through accident, so does my life. Small ways, big ways. The effect these changes have on myself, the people around me, and society never ceases to fascinate.
