I started birdwatching in 2002 ,then about a year later I bought a Canon 10D and a 100/400L lens and started taking pictures of birds. Photography adds some excitement to birdwatching,it's like hunting without having to kill anything. I then bought a Canon 600mmL,which I love,a 1.4 teleconverter, and a Wimberly head. The 600 is sharper than my 100/400 and the extra reach lets me stay far enough away that most birds feel comfortable with me being there. I went to a Canon 40D,and in 2010 I bought a Canon 7D,a terrific camera. If you wish to use any of my photos, please contact me.
