Love bikes from the '50s to '70s and began racing in the early '60s, road racing and time trials. Just 3rd cat. I'm afraid, but enjoyed it enormously. Took up running in later life, marathons and half marathons. Kept this going for a good few years and then started hill walking and long distance walking. Still pottered about on my bikes during this time, but nothing very serious. Married for 40 years with a boy and girl and two grand-daughters. Enjoying early retirement greatly. Got chance of early retirement and grabbed it with both hands! Computers have turned the newspaper workers into desk slaves continually on the treadmill with their working conditions and wage structures constantly under attack.
