Brule Laker's photostream  

I purchased an Olympus E-410 in February 2008 after 25 years of shooting with my trusty OM-1n. My favorite subjects are architecture, sporting events (particularly the White Sox) and interesting outdoor settings.

I lived in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago until age 6 (both parents graduated from Hyde Park High School) and on the North Shore until my parents moved back to the city 15 years later. After attending college in Pennsylvania and Boston, I returned to Chicago, where I have resided to date with my wife of 39 years. Our daughter lives five blocks away.

My Flickr name comes from one of the largest lakes in northeastern Minnesota, which took a good few hours to paddle across because of strong headwinds on a canoe trip 47 years ago. I also have a blog, "The View from Brule Lake" (brulelaker.blogspot.com).
