Suddenly I have dawned, and I have chosen to share it here….

Thinking about how I work and the type of images I produce has suddenly, tonight meshed. I love food, more so cooking food that I enjoy. I am no chef, but I love to create food that I enjoy and relish others enjoying it with me.

My cooking is harsh, brash almost basic, but full of heart; my heart. My ideas and inspiration come from traditional dishes fused and married with new and inspiring ideas. I love to shred, bash and crack ingredients. I like quick results from long thought…… and tradition. Presenting my food is most important. Bangers, mash and onion gravy is easy, but with a little knowledge I make it look great to my standards.

Photography, I have only just realised is the same as my cooking. It’s by no means cutting edge, expensive, latest ingredients or the best cuisine. But its mine to do with how I will. I like strong contrasting effects, blended into a classic frame. Quick results, from long thoughts are how I express myself through the lens. Blending ideas by sudden inspiration rather than calculation. Using what I have in the “fridge” rather than ordering and waiting for the best conditions.

I hack, crack and bash my way through and have the confidence to believe that others will like my final result. Some images will look burnt, flavourless and uninteresting,. But I will still share them with you. Others will look rich, classic and desirable.
