Each month our readers send in their favourite pics of 'Life in the Countryside' and the shortlist are voted here by the public. With over €15,000 worth of prizes and the winner's photograph being published in the IFA Countryside 2009 calendar, get your fingers ready to capture your picture perfect moment
Competition Rules
A picture may say a thousand words, but we here at The Journal, require a few more details.
Firstly, photographs will be accepted either digitally or as a printed copy. Digital versions are the preferred option and must be a minimum of 1Mb in size. Printed copies must be 6” x 8”, which is approximately an A4 page. We will also require the negative to ensure optimum quality for printing.
Pictures must come accompanied with a title, along with the name address and phone number of the photographer. Also, it must clearly state the location in which the photograph was taken. The more relevant the photo is to the time of the year, the better – remember, this is for a calendar!
Terms and conditions
All photographs entered in this competition will become the property of the Irish Farmers Journal. The judge’s selection of a short list is final as is the selection of photos for publication in any calendar. Prizes cannot be exchanged for a monetary amount.
