Hello.

I've had a passing interest in photography for many years, but it is only in the last three or four years that I have developed it as a hobby.

The main purpose of my Flickr page is to

1. Showcase the beautiful County of Waterford (where I live with my wife and family), as it is one of the most beautiful counties in Ireland, and is, in my opinion, grossly undersold and marketed.

2. Create a record (as much as possible) of all the Roman Catholic churches and cathedrals across County Waterford. Sadly, with the drop in vocations and Mass attendances, many of these may disappear in the coming years. So it is all the more important to maintain a record of sorts.

The photos are taken mainly with a Canon Eos 450D, with a small amount of earlier ones (up to 2008) taken with a Fuji S5000. In September 2009 I upgraded to a Canon Eos 40D, and a Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS lens. My other lens is a Tokina 12-24 WA.
