Retired after a career in psychiatric and medical social work, I'm involved in volunteer activities including shut-in visitation, a food bank and other church related service work and work with the Whitehall Historical Preservation Society. Serve as archivist and librarian, organizing displays for our gristmill museum and public events and restoring a home on the National Registry list. Love contacts with my children, grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends. Realizing that everything is a gift from God, as a result of His grace, I hope to allow His grace to flow through me to others.

I find it very enjoyable to experience, via Flickr, the photography and observations of many, more talented talented people, including two brothers, who share here. It's being able to see people and things, throughout the world, that I haven't experienced, through the eyes and viewpoints of others; and, it's like visiting multiple art museums, in distant locations and in a variety of genres, all while sitting in front of my computer. The quotes and personal observations shared with many of the photos are well taken.

My photos on Flickr are simple, taken with a basic digital camera (Canon PowerShot SD450), with photo editing limited to red eye reduction and occasional cropping. Hope that a few people might like them.. Over time, I'll upload more, both recent and from the past.

In mid 2010, I added another camera, a Panasonic (LUMIX) DMC-ZS3, for its faster shutter speed and anti-shake features. Yet I remain a simple point and shoot type of guy, focusing more on personal interaction and the activities/ events involved in than on learning how to improve the quality of my photography.
