On this special night, look up at the stars, speak a happy wish out loud, and be a child once again...


First snow, first snow
Blankets the world
like a wish
Lights twinkling
Reds, blues, white
Christmas trees glistening
Presents under the tree
A whisper of Christmas
In the Air
Bringing Christmas wishes
to those
who believe
look up
at the stars
A whisper of Christmas
Lies in the child in us all
Just close your eyes
And believe
Happiness wells up
inside you
A joy
that is yours alone
This night
of nights
Is still and quiet
with happiness
The kind of happiness
That soars across the night
Like a shooting star
Look up,
revel in the moment
Happiness Is
Embrace this time
and listen
To this whisper
of Christmas
Watch
like a child
for the first snow
making the world
a wonderland
of happiness.
Listen
like a child
for the first happy sounds
of this night...
this whisper
of Christmas
is yours
if you only believe...

Our Dumb World

Yesterday the world was clean and bright

We did our jobs and we did them right

The world spins slowly when we smile

It says why not sit back and stay a while

But something happened along the way

Your neighbor drove a Chevrolet

Green with envy—that was you.

So you bought a Chevy

And you drove it too!

Then across the sea a war broke out

Come over Yanks! Come help us out!

Save the world for freedom, stand by our side

We won that war but did the damage end?

More stuff to buy more fences to mend.

Is war just an excuse to hate?

Or is peace a reason to simmer

Let HOPE light the way to remind us

Who is in this dumb world anyway?

Where only rich people can afford to

Take a vacation and hard working people

Lose their homes and get laid off

Oil is dumb when a match can build a fire.

Money is dumb when you don’t need it to wake up

Each morning.

Beauty is dumb when you’re never happy with

What God gives you.

Envy is dumb when you have a roof over your head.

Jealousy is dumb when you have a happy heart.

Hate is dumb when you love.

Love is never dumb because the world needs more

Love.

Maybe if we are lucky the world will wise up

Be happy and make the best of this dumb world

of ours !
