Photography - a hobby that supports itself with a few $$ to buy a lens now and then...

I have a wonderful wife, Kimberly. A fantastic best friend who has blessed us with a wonderful family. We have 5 children (4 girls and 1 boy). I don’t know how it happened but the youngest three are in high school and are all busy teenagers. As a result of their 'busy-ness' (is that a word???) my wife and I are busy too. Life is great!

I enjoy taking all kinds of pictures. I enjoy going for walks looking for anything interesting that catches my eye. Sports are a natural subject for me because our kids are involved.

Volleyball is an incredible sport and very exciting to watch. I have found it’s not as easy to photograph as I thought it would be. It takes a lot of images to find a few that I like. I have learned however that practice helps. The Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 lens sure helps too. It is the perfect range, fast focus, and lets in enough light for most gyms.
