  "I read somewhere that something mythic in each of us seeks a treasure hard to attain, so you can imagine how I felt when one day in midlife I realized I had found my treasure when she and I were just sixteen years old. She calls herself newlight2 here on Flickr, and she is my treasure because when steadfastness is needed, this wife of mine is a woman with sand; when I need to change, I find inspiration and courage in her brown eyes and sharp mind; and when her friends or loved ones need someone who cares, she listens deeply and more often than not asks the question that truly helps. There are many more reasons and it's all quite mysterious, even to her (I've asked). Thank goodness she's not perfect. Perfection, after all, doesn't continue to learn and grow as the years go by. All these clumsy words don't really say it very well, but if you knew her you'd know then why I love her so much. Take a look at the images she's made and you might get the picture!"
