Took my first pictures with a Box Brownie. My first camera was a Boots Biaritz and my dad taught me how to print my photos. That was followed by a Zenit. A boyfriend gave it to me as a Valentine gift. I was so disappointed at the time, not exactly romantic, but my Zenit was brilliant. Must of had a really good lens or something, anyway it took a good picture. Then maybe 15years ago I invested in a second-hand Olympus OM1N. Bloody loved that camera. My dad passed on all his developing and printing equipment. Set up a dark room in my bathroom. I got quite serious, in a hobby way, doing portraits. Went digital 2 years ago. First with a little finepix and more recently with a Canon D40. I'm passionate about oral history and life stories and use photos to give context to stories and to just record what I see around me. I'm inspired by Jane Bown, Lee Miller, Annie Liebovitz.
