More interested in the perfect shot than equipment used he has taken some of the most stunning nature/insect/bug photographs that I've seen and continues to do so.

You could do far worse than taking the time to look through his photostream for interest, variety, inspiration, humour, rarity value of subjects photographed and to marvel at what is building into a fabulous 'bank' of work.
