I'm Irish, living in Wales. I love the landscapes of both countries and try on occasion to get out and capture some of the beauty of nature as well as the manmade. Castles abound within fairly easy reach here in Wales although the weather is something to contend with, as it is when we holiday in Ireland.

My photos vary from those landscapes and castles, to flowers in my own and the more formal gardens I visit. Macros of flowers are quite addictive although boring to the viewer and so I try to control myself!

This year I have taken fewer photos, partly because of over-saturation of local places and things, and partly due to being rather more busy with other things. I hope my mojo comes back as I do love looking over some of the photos I have taken, though only a fraction as I'm very critical. I guess that puts me off a bit too.

I use a Sony a350 and I still use my little compact Samsung A7 which is ancient but so handy and not a bad piece of kit which has taken some good shots including some which have been used in publications and websites.
