Like you, this is just something I do. We didn't ask to be born, but here we are.

I recently took up photography and really don't know anything about it. However, I do know that the image, along with other art, is part of a universal language—I only understand English, but photos supersede this limitation. There is a real humanity about them.
They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.
Kurt Vonnegut said that, and I agree.

While I appreciate the compliment that is a group invite, I do not enjoy the images in my comments that often accompany the invitation. If you invite or award a photo of mine, please do so without including an image. It just seems tacky and invasive. Thanks.
