I'm a visual person. Have been forever. I started taking pictures when I was in highschool, '73, that camera is still around somewhere. I picked up a film SLR in college and shot mostly transparencies (I liked the big images shown on the Daylite screen that my father had) and it was my work horse for the next 15 years. I learned everything I know about photography using it, so... jumping to digital was just a matter of resolution. This camera sits on a mantle in my office, it has earned it's stripes.

Here's a pic of the trusty Konica T3 tank and some lenses. It was a nice rig in its day and it still works!



I learned how to shoot studio strobe working as an art director in the advertising field. When you work with good shooters you pick up a few things about lighting, not everything, but enough to make it interesting.

I can't spend enough time taking pictures.

My thoughts on equipment:
Equipment never makes the photographer, but it will make the photography better. If you want better equipment, get it...and always, always, buy good glass.
