Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to look at my photos. I hope you enjoy them.

I grew up just north of San Francisco, California and fooled around with film cameras from an early age, though photography never really hooked me. I have been living in Nairobi, Kenya since July 2004 when I came here to do architectural consulting work for the United Nations. In order to record the experiences in my new home, I purchased my first digital camera just before coming to Kenya. I very soon realized that it was insufficient to capture the beauty of this country and decided to buy a "real" camera. I still have the P&S in my car at all times, just in case.

I found Flickr through my friend Kalabird , and both she and this website helped me decide on what to buy.

My present kit includes:

Actually, this nifty new product is on my list.

I am relatively new to photography and am constantly learning. Any and all constructive criticism and/or advice that can be offered is welcome and appreciated. I have met many friends here who have helped me enormously and am grateful for their wisdom and encouragement. Thank you to all of my Flickr Friends who have helped me and inspired me to get out and shoot!
