Doctor Beef says:
"This is, without a doubt, one of my very favorite photostreams to lose myself in on Flickr, often for hours, haunting his abandoned hallways eagerly, yet tentatively. Sometimes scary, sometimes touching, sometimes disturbing, sometimes sad, and nearly always creepy, Andre does with his photographic art what I crave, but sadly do not get, from most horror movies. I long to do what he does, but for many reasons haven't yet dared to, so I live my urbex life vicariously though his stunning portraits of an abandoned world.
Thank you, Andre, for doing what you do, and doing it so well."25th August, 2011

"I got hooked on Andre's images while trolling around on flickr. The subject matter he records is of immense interest to me. His treatment of the digital negative is what draws you in to explore his masterpieces. His images are tight. Evading spores, spooks, security and dicey building structure do little to deter him from snagging his vision be it still image or video."

"Andre produces true art, when i first layed eyes on his work i was stunned and i just had to meet him. Now several trips later i can say he IS a true artist ! Walking with him in an abandoned building is like going in there with a hurricane. So fast, with an amazing eye for a perfect shot. I learned so much from him these last few months, although t will take a very long time to even get close to his mad skillz ! Awesome company on the road, lots of laughs, McDonalds and too small coffees ;) thnx 4 being a friend bro !"

"I have to join the ranks of those giving praise.
I found Andre and his work by chance after he commented on one of my photos. I went to see who this guy was and ended up looking through his photostream for over an hour.
I have never seen this quality of work in the Urbex genre. Each shot is perfection. I couldn't get this quality of results if I had a studio full of the best gear in the business and certainly not out of the travel light gear Urbex allows.
Damn you're good Andre. I'm glad I found you - or you found me :-)
Keep up this amazing work."20th May, 2011

"Andre has the most unique and interesting style of photography I have ever seen. No one comes even close. His work and ideas are truly inspiring and he process images in ways I really don't understand how he does it.
I've been fortunate to join Andre on two urbex trips, one to Germany and one around UK, and it has been most instructive and fun. And he always has a funny story to tell. :)"7th May, 2011

"If you haven't already had the pleasure of viewing Andre's stream, prepare to be amazed as you enter a mesmeric world of the macabre. Imaginative, disturbing, poignant, witty and captivating, his prolific body of work is as thoughtful as it is thought-provoking. Andre defines urbex and takes it to a different dimension. Put simply, no one does it better"

"It was seeing Andres amazing pictures of Abandoned asylums that first got me interested in Urbex and I have never regretted it. Since those early days I have come to realise that Andre is the 'Urbex Master', a painter of images like no one else. Lots of people try to emulate the master but all fall short. Not only is he a great photographer he is also a top bloke who has time for everybody. Andre you are 10/10."

"Andre is a master of building an atmosphere of horror and mystery, his pictures always breathtaking. In my opinion, the work of Andre is No.1 among people who love Urbex. For a long time I have been wanting to write this, the last event is a meeting with Andre, the ability to talk and common shooting urbex confirmed my belief that it is not only a very good photographer but also a great friend. Thanks for everything and I hope to see you next time. Take care dude!! ;D"

"Andre is the ultimate source when looking for uniquely done urbex photography. He delves into the deep recesses of your hidden fears and exposes them through brilliant lighting techniques. His use of models and props adds an extra edge to these shots. And that's just for the RAW shot - it is his masterful post-processing that takes his work from great to phenomenal. NOBODY on Flickr has this level of skill and expertise with layering and blending of images to achieve this one-of-a-kind look. If you are seeking the best dark/creepy/scary photographer on Flickr, you have found him in Andre Govia."

"I dont know how Andre gets access to all the interesting derelicts he leads us through, unless maybe he really is a cat. An exceptionally sensitive photographer, his technique of lending extra atmosphere until the viewer is drawn in and hypnotized, makes it very hard to quit looking. Ive spent many (way too many) nights dwelling on his stream, entertained immensely by his talent."

"The first time I saw one of Andre's photos I thought "Here's someone with an appreciation for macabre beauty". A lot of people take urbex snapshots but Andre turns images into something surreal and sinister that would not be out of place in a movie... Great work!"
