Panoramic Stitch Photography

A series of overlapping digital photographs to create a single extra wide angle image that can encompass up to 360°. A technique that can be performed with any inexpensive digital camera and now the software is available as a free download by various companies. That appears as if the image was a single snap of the camera with an expensive wide angle lens.

A stitched image can incorporate distortion at the photographer's discretion, while an extra wide angle lens inherent the distortion on the edges of the image. A photographer now has the freedom to create the illusion wanted with the collection of pixels being nothing more than colorful paint on a canvass and with the use of photo editing software readily available can manipulate such an image to his/her desires.

For All Those Non-Profit Folks:

and you should know it cost to be free..

Got to pay your dues if you want to shoot the blues
And you know it don't come easy
You don't have to shout or leap about
You can even shoot them easy
Forget about the past and all your sorrow
These images won't last
It will soon be your tomorrow

I don't ask for much, I only want your money
And you know it don't come easy
And this love of mine keeps growing all the time
And you know it don't come easy
Open up your wallet, let's come together
Use a little sense, and we will make it work out better

Got to pay your dues if you want to shoot the blues
And you know it don't come easy
You don't have to shout or leap about
You can even print them easy

... and I had thought George Harrison wrote these words until corrected....

Be aware that this is my laboratory, these images here are drafts and I would like to thank you for the time you may have spent viewing them.

I'm not a photographer or an artist, I am a Pixel Manipulator, I stitch photographs, as for tomorrow well, let's say I'm working on it. I have been looking for work for some time now since I retired long ago and I don't seem to do that very well while looking through the viewfinder. So, I've chosen to create work out of thin air with my tongue in cheek. This is child's play not work. When I did work in the past was polluting Mother Nature running a heap leaching mill plant which has nothing to do with taking pictures.

These images I present here are really not real photographs per se................
Hint: optical illusion, it really works as far as I can see, no camera can capture an image with a field of view greater than 180° maybe, if the String Theory is applied it can happen.....

...anyways, check Wikipedia info on stitch photography....
