"Photography is nothing, it's life that interests me."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson

I bought my first DSLR in March 2008 and very quickly jacked in my full time job to study photography at Aylesbury College. After passing the first year I met Emma, we moved to Cornwall together for two years and got married. We've now moved to Kettering, with our dog Dexter, to be closer to friends and family.

"Berty is a true Flickr wunderkind. I know him primarily throught his fantastic "Score my B&W" site and his impressive photostream. The six-hundred plus shots in the stream demonstrate Berty's incredible versatility as a photographer. There are the superb HDR landscapes - in colour and black and white. Vivid and evocative, they haunt the imagination, like stills from classic movies, with titles like "Brief Encounter" and "I'm on a road to nowhere." Train platforms and chuch interiors, lighthouses and windmills all appear in delightful succession.

Then there are his wonderful self-portraits. Inventive, witty, self-deprecating and equally delightful, they show another side of Berty's photographic skill altogether. And who could forget his street scenes, so reminiscent of classic French photograhy? I could go on, but the best way to experience Berty's work is to dive right into his stream, and swim around for a while. You won't be disappointed! He is a wonderfully supportive member of the Flickr community and I count it an honour to call him a contact and friend."

"When Berty joined the moderator team of the Score my car photo group he was nothing short of a whirlwind and is to this day. I found him to be completely reliable and he has a good head on his shoulders. Some guy to have on your side!

As far as his photos go, hey, just have a look at the photostream. They don't need any words from me. Just good stuff! :-)"
