Erstwhile technologist, would-be physician, dog whisperer at heart. I don't believe in supernatural explanations for the natural world. As they say in Texas, this ain't my first rodeo, and I've been around the block enough times to quit pretending I know anything at all, so now I just try to look around and really see for the first time since I stopped believing in gods and monsters.
Austin's been my home for five years now, and its the first place I've felt at home since childhood. I moved away for a year and a half but I'm back, hopefully to stay put for a few years.
When I'm not overshooting a picture I write write software, mostly for the web, walk my dog, and explore the Hill Country with my (truly) better half.
Photographically, I like shooting rock shows, portraits, landscapes, and anything unusual. I did a lot of HDR for awhile, but I"m getting away from it now because I'm damn lazy and it takes a lot of effort.
