WILLIAM "BILL" GRAY
Thank you for having a look at my photographs.

I've had cameras since 1968. I still shoot mostly film. Digital is winning favor every day but I still love what I started with, negatives, slides and Polaroids.

BACKGROUND
I grew up traveling from military base to military base in the EU and Asia. Now I live in the Maryland/DC area.

I've worked full time in the film business since graduating college. I worked in the Motion Picture Industry for nearly 3 decades. I've had the pleasure of schlepping and pulling focus for Arri's, Aatons and Panavisions for some of the most gifted cameramen in the business. I am ever so grateful for their time and knowledge. Each one had a unique approach to image making. I learned that there is always a new way to visualize something waiting around every corner.

FOREGROUND
Now I work full time as a photographer/Motion DP for GrayPictures and as a Set Still Photographer for Motion Picture productions.

For me, making images is never work, I love what I do. I shoot everyday. I feel very fortunate to photograph what I love.

FOCUS
Get out there and shoot images! There are plenty of petty opinions about what and how to shoot images. Trust your gut, there is plenty of room for everybody.

Always move on, take photos, make motion images. That's what matters...that you "do," not that you "say."
