If photography's all about light, my stream here on flickr should be nearly empty. Shooting almost entirely in the darkness of night my images are created over extended periods to capture the passing of time.

Whether it's star trails, traffic trails, light art or landscapes lit purely by the moon, there's something special about creating an image that develops over time. Unlike the what-you-see-is-what-you-get of daytime photography, night photography has suspense built in.

My photostream represents a fraction of my overall image library.
