child of the 50s' photostream  

Couple--Lew and Valerie--now 72 and 74 and both children of the 1940s and 50s. Most of the old shots posted are of Valerie's teenage and childhood days, but I'll have a few oldies of my own to add.

All our photos are Public, so we don't use the Friends or Family categories. Consequently, we group all our contacts into the Contacts category.

My original intent was to (mostly) post old photos that neither I nor Val took ourselves. I post photos I've shot under my other Flickr ID, lewscanon, at www.flickr.com/photos/lewscanon/ . That worked for a while, but because I've inevitably gathered a different set of friends on each ID, I've decided to include on this ID shots I've taken--just not necessarily the same ones I posted on the other one.

We enjoy car travel and have enjoyed meandering through all 50states, and all Canadian provinces and territories except for Nunavut. We're just back (June 2009) from a 7-week, 10,500-mile drive through the American West and Midwest, and have already got the traveling itch again. Our poor car!
