Hi! I work for the American Samoa Community College as Communications and Documents Officer. That includes the subtitle of Press Officer, and to go along with publicizing college events, I get to take a lot of photos. The ones you see here are my favorites from the ones taken for ASCC as part of my job, combined with other personal stuff like my travel shots. This site is not officially affiliated with ASCC. Some have said that this collection is getting so big it's difficult to navigate. Well, what can I say? I'm just expanding with the universe. Regarding the composition of this ragtag lot, none of it's really planned. As I write these words, I have absolutely no idea what the next series of photos will be, or when I'll take them, but the unpredictability keeps life interesting.

PRESENTLY IN THE PAST: Anyway, by all indications, this collection is just going to get bigger, so what can I tell you to make it easier for you to find your way through it? For starts, it's roughly in reverse chronological order, or in other words, the newest stuff is always up front. I usually post photos in groups, except for the odd single pigeon here and there. Some of my travel shots are way, way out of chronological order, and the reason for this is simple: they sat in my computer for several years before I even started this collection. I recently noticed that all the Las Vegas 09 photos say they were taken in 05, but this is because at some point I took the memory card out and forgot to re-set it when I put it back in, plus I'm too lazy to go back and change the info on every one of those shots. But most of the time, you can see where you are in the timeline just by checking the dates on the photos.

I don't mind if you use my work for personal collections, academic projects, or any non-profit activity. Some photo enthusiasts are rather paranoid about people copying their work. My attitude is the polar opposite. I say: If you like any of these photos, COPY THEM NOW before I change my mind and try to squeeze money out of you. Right now, I’m generous, so don’t give me a reason to regret being generous.

HOW TO COPY A FLICKR PHOTO ITSELF RATHER THAN JUST A LINK: It's easy. Go the Actions list, and click on View All Sizes. One of the options will be Download Original Size. That way, you can get the photo as a file rather than a link. It'll come in its original size, which is pretty big, but smaller sizes are also an option.

SOME WORDS ABOUT WORDS: The photos can really speak for themselves, but most of the time I give them some words anyway just to keep them company. What’s written to go with the photos is more often for amusement rather than for educational purposes.

HERE WE ARE IN 2012: And the collection has surpassed the 5000 mark. This collection has been going for a few years now, and slowly but surely more people appear to be looking at it. All of this is quite amusing to me, since I never set out to be a professional photographer. It's something I either had to do for my job or just thought was fun. It's just a bunch of little images I thought worth preserving for as many different reasons as there are different photos. I'm still up and running mostly on enthusiasm and luck. Well, be that as it may, it just is what it is, and if you like some of them, then I'm happy to continue making these images available.
