Still learning, trailing through my old collection, playing with photoshop and finding out things about Flickr (for which I thank all my contacts).

I love seeing places I'll never get a chance to visit.

I love seeing places just down the road that I never knew existed.

I love seeing places I know well in totally new ways.

Most importantly, I appreciate feedback that helps me learn and improve.

I'm admin of eight groups:
# Tracks to the Past is a catch all group for the historical paths beneath your feet.
# Legend says... is about the ancient stories behind the places.
# Lanarkshire Heritage is for my home turf - an area often overlooked but deeply soaked in history from all ages, and not a redundant industrial leftover.
# Scottish Covenanters specialises in the religious wars of the 17th century, a conflict undoubtedly experienced by some of my ancestors in one way or another, given their locations.
# Early Medieval Europe covers the so-called Dark Ages, and involves Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Picts, Franks and Saracens. Nothing dark about it.
# Worldwide works of Andy Scott is just what it says.
#Calderglen is for a stunning local country park that runs through East Kilbride.
#Roman Scotland is all about the faint (and not so faint) archaeological remains left by one of the most powerful military machines the world has ever seen.

I love taking pictures, writing, old maps, reading, archaeology, history and music. But above all, I love hearing about a place, researching it online and then visiting it in person.

Oh, and I'm a bit pedantic. And my sense of humour can lead me into trouble. Sorry about that, but hopefully those are my worst faults.
