Welcome, thank you for your visit,it is much appreciated.

I`m mature(like Stilton cheese),v active(on the run) many interests (grasshopper brain) but still a few miles left in me.

My first serious camera was a Russian Zenit E ,bought in the mid 60`s(yes ,I am that old). With nothing "auto"& using a light meter it was tough(slow). You youngsters got it easy now.But it was a good grounding ,as you had to `think`.I then went via Minolta to Nikon, shooting mainly hi-days & holidays.
In 2006,I bought a Sony DSC-H5 bridge camera ,putting my toe in the digital water, but still relying on my Nikon film. I `ve now fully taken the plunge & bought a Nikon D300. Spare a thought for the poor old chap ,as I have to wade through a 420 page manual(the Zenit one was about 8 pages) & with all the computerese!!
