I'm just new to photography and flickr. I only started using fickr in Jan 2008 and basically just started shooting a lot as well towards the end of last year. I like photos a lot but did not really learn how to use my film SLR before. All I did was put it in auto and just use it as a point and shoot camera during parties and travels. It was only last year when I started appreciating the beauty of colorful sceneries that I wanted to shoot landscapes as well.

In 2005, I bought a DSLR (Nikon D70) but it was not until mid 2007 when I've read several issues of Australian Photography magazines that I decided to get serious about photography. I bought a couple of lenses and a few filters. But, I still don't know how to use the full capabilities of my DSLR. So, I decided to enroll with New York Institute of Photography. It was a bit expensive but I'm very satisfied so far. I'm not half-way into my course yet, but I'm slowly learning. And now, I'm getting crazy about photography.
