Diverse methods of photography intrigue me, as do nature and space. I strive to pull it all together. As a former photojournalist, I still enjoy trying to tell a story with my photos, but capturing scenic landscapes, nature/wildlife, and the colorful deep sky objects in space have become my primary aspiration. Enjoyed my photo journalism stint as photo editor of the (Southwest) Missouri State University newspaper and working in the university's PR dept as a staff photog back in late 80's/early 90's.

Equipment
For normal photography, I use a Canon 5D Mark II and a Nikon D90. For the 5D, I use the Zeiss Planar 50mm f/1.4, Canon EF 100mm f/2, EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II, EF 24-105mm f/4L, and EF 70-200mm f/2.8L. For the D90, I use the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.8, 60mm f/2.8 ED macro, 80-200mm f/2.8 ED, 300mm f/4 ED.

For astrophotography, I use an Apogee U16M CCD camera with Astrodon Gen2 LRGB filters and 5nm narrowband filters. I also have an IR modified Canon XSi 450D for widefield astrophotography and infrared photography.
