I live in Christchurch, New Zealand and am still relatively new to photography. Up until recently, I used one camera and one lens only - a Nikon D40 with a Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 Optical Stabilizer. But I recently added some new glass: Fujiyama macro lens. And discovered lomography and the Diana F+ camera. Loving it!

I prefer not to do any post-processing if I can help it as I think you should aim to take the very best shot possible in-camera. I realise that makes me some sort of photo snob. So most of my photos have no post-processing.

Friends describe me as "quirky". I'm not sure what they mean by this, but I like the odd, the bizarre, the different, the individual and this could just about describe me.

I also have a photography blog:

    "Here I find
    A black mind
    And it's all so fair
    Another collie pair
She's the twin I've never had
With a camera in her hand
Even if we live so far away
In the net so close we stay"

"I have known Victoria for quite sometime and seen her photography develop into a work of art. I certainly admire her work and Flickr is so much the better for having photographers of extraordinary talent like Victoria.

The Sigma 18-200 & D40 is a great combo and Victoria brings out the best with it. I have referred many photographers to Victoria's photos.

Keep up the great work Victoria.

"I do agree with the one who said "A picture is worth a thousand words". And here, Victoria has shown me millions of beautiful words. I like the way she looked the world through her Sigma lens. Most of her photos are colourful, have great composition, have nice bokeh, wonderful reflection, and beautiful light.

Thank you very much for showing me the beautiful things in this world."
