I live in a small town in the West Coast of Scotland with my husband and teenage son. I work in Glasgow, so I have the best of both worlds - great city and beautiful countryside to escape to!
I've always enjoyed photography, but have never been terribly confident in my ability, so this is a great opportunity to start thinking about what makes a good photo. I started and completed a photo-a-day project in 2008 and 2009 and will be doing the same again this year. I've had good photos and bad photos, but they all represent my day and that's what I like about this project. I'm still amazed at how differently I started seeing the world around me, it's opened my eyes to my part of the world again and I'm rediscovering just how beautiful it is. I've also met some lovely, supportive people online and had lots of laughs along the way.
