Everyone has their niche. Their thing that defines them. Mine is photography. I love having a camera in my hand. And when I feel like everything I do is wrong, I can look at my photos and know that I have made something beautiful for someone else to enjoy.

I love muted colors and surrealism. And my favorite color is yellow :)

"My trip to the Netherlands wasn't going to be complete without a trip to the flower fields to see the worlds freshest, most beautiful flowers. There were dozens of immigrant workers picking and clipping the flowers and in the middle of them.... a beautiful woman in a summer dress, picking roses. And she wasn't putting them in the boxes for transport on the truck. She brought a crate of designer vases imported from France to hold them in. I was fascinated by her strong work ethic and adherence to detail. It was one thing that she was able to fend off the whistling field workers, but being able to pick roses in high heels was another. She had tunnel-vision, blocking out all the other distractions in order to create the perfect set of roses. After 14 straight hours she decided to take a break and have a glass of red wine with the fellas and I dropped by to talk with her. She told me she donated her time here and felt vindicated creating such beautiful displays knowing that their final destination was a declaration of love. She enjoyed creating beauty. She told me that once she made enough of these, she would work on taking photos for the same reason. She had passion in everything she did. It was the highlight of my trip. This was 1982, and only recently have I found her stream here on the Flickr. It's obvious she carries over her passion for detail and creating beauty in every one of her shots. I'm not sure what kind of work shes does now, but I'm sure whatever it is, she's very well dressed."
