I don't really consider myself a photographer in whatever way you might define the word, as I work alongside members of that profession and my efforts can't compare. I'm simply someone who uses a camera to record what I see around me and as a way of remembering times, places and events I've experienced. "A bloke who takes photos" will do for me.

That said, I do try to put a bit of effort into my photos and I hope the results demonstrate that. I suppose one of the advantages of digital photography is that you can try things and, occasionally, come up with a good result, although maybe there's something of that old monkeys, typewriters and Shakespeare business involved as well!
