I have been a portrait photographer for many years and have recently decided to spread my wings and experiment with what I love, creating art through photography! I guess you could say I am a frustrated artist. I can't even draw stick figures!

I am in awe of the wonderful photos and very talented photographers I have seen on Flickr. You inspire me to try new things and I appreciate your feedback, both good and constructive criticism. I prefer photographing my subjects in natural light and rarely use flash but have recently purchased a SB600 speedlight for my D40X.

I find it a challenge but have made peace with my tripod, manual focus Tamron 500mm lens and manual 90mm macro. A remote shutter release is a necessity when using these!
