And yes, I am male (well, about 70%) but I'm so regularly embarressed by and for my gender that I try not to shout about it.

Something new to add. I have been receiving an increasing number of invites to 'INVITE ONLY' groups. I don't know if this is a reflection on me or on Flickr but if you are thinking of inviting me to an ELITIST group - please don't bother. Yes I know I have a few of my earlier uploads in such groups - all I can say there is that I was so humbled to receive ANY kind of praise that I did not think it through.
I am against such groups on principal, ie Flickr is for EVERYONE, AND FOR EVERYONE TO SHARE FREELY. IT IS NOT HERE TO SEGREGATE, TO MAKE SOME PEOPLE FEEL THEY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH OR TO MAKE OTHERS FEEL THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE REST OF US. Thankyou. I'll get down off my soapbox now and hide from the collateral. Lol.
