I like photos and cameras. So photography kind of makes sense to me.

The more gear I try, the more I seem to gravitate towards 35mm SLRs with B/W film in them. Simplicity always makes for a nice change of pace.

I'm an 18 year old student from London, currently on a GAP year, but heading off to the LSE to study Law & Anthropology in September. I look and act older than I am. And I have a mean collection of tweed, whiskey and expired pay and display parking tickets accumulating in my ash-tray.

    Kippy! says:

"Alex gave me a pretty thorough grounding in film photography (after I bombarded him with messages, probably driving him insane), so without him I suppose I would never had been convinced to take the plunge. In the process, he showed me how much patience he had, as well as his large photographic knowledge base. In the year that I have now known him, his work has gone from strength to strength. It is clear looking back the evolution and refinement of his style and I happily await his each upload.

The only thing I will say is that his taste in cameras is not my cup of tea :)"

Hes always been the master at rose shots which i supose are his signature thing and other gorgeous flower macros, i think ive favourited just about half of them lol.
But he is amazing in other areas too, his recent band shots are brilliant and not just the standard thing.
His black and whites and sepias are to die for and look like they could be hung on the wall of the most swankiest house.

    Broken Ice says:

"My friends, despite what you think; alex is not a genius.

You see, a genius is only brilliant in one area; alex is brilliant in almost everything he does. He, is the definition of a renaissance man.

He is the most celebrated, clever, glorious, distinguished, dazzling,
lucent, cunning human ever to exist. and yes, I took that straight from the dictionary definition of him, seen below.

    Woolcott
    (noun)
    1. A brilliant englishman with good taste in music.
Synonyms: Brilliant, lucent, bright, dazzling, god, amazing, wonderful, sexy, smart, brilliant, genius

    For more synonyms, see admirable

And here is a quote from his wikipedia entry.

"A woolcott, is a gentleman who is english and awesome"

Infact, as you're sitting here reading this, scientists are deliberating cloning him to continue to further the human race."

"Alex is definitely a blossoming photographer. Literally. His rose pictures look like something out of old romance movies--with fairy tale-like qualities that evoke awe in the viewer. I love browsing through his photostream just to see how he can turn the ordinary into the extrodinary."
