Sono veterinario di piccoli animali. Vivo a Pisa ma il mio ambulatorio è a 10 Km dalla città. I miei interessi sono oltre la fotografia, la lettura, la scrittura: collaboro con una piccola rivista letteraria. Amo i libri e di alcuni ho ancora dentro un ricordo: Jabob's Room e Mrs Dalloway di Virginia Woolf, L' isola di Arturo e La Storia di Elsa Morante, Cent'anni di solitudine di Gabriel Garcia Marquez.Oggi leggo prevalentemente libri di scrittori contemporanei, amo Raymond Carver, Susan Sontag, Mark Haddon, Amelie Nothomb, Alessandro Baricco, Rosetta Loy, Andrea Camilleri. Il mio film cult è Fahrenheit 451 di Francois Truffaut, tratto dall'omonimo libro di Ray Bradbury, anch' esso un libro cult per me.
Amo il cinema americano anticonvenzionale come quello dei fratelli Cohen e il cinema europeo dei fratelli belgi Darden. Un altro regista che amo è WongKar-Wai, "In the mood for love" è uno dei film che preferisco anche perchè la fotografia regna sovrana.
Ho iniziato a scattare con una Canon Eos 300D, che ho cambiato successivamente con una Eos 40D. Possiedo un obiettivo zoom - 17-85 USM (stabilizzato), F/4-5,6 un 24-105 L F/4 IS, e un 50mm F/1.8.
Posseggo anche una fotocamera prosumer Sony DSC H2 che mi dà molte soddisfazioni come colori e nitidezza.
Consiglio sull'argomento cultura fotografica di leggere due stupendi libri di Susan Sontag "Sulla Fotografia" e "Davanti al dolore degli altri" sulla tecnica, sulla composizione e su Photoshop i libri di Scott Kelby.

I'm a small animals vet. I live in Pisa but my clinic is 10 Km from the city. My interests are photography, reading and writing. I collaborate with a small literary magazine. I love books and I still remember some of these, for example Virginia Woolf's Jabob's Room and Mrs Dalloway, Elsa Morante L'Isola di Arturo (The Island of Arthur) and La Storia (History), Gabriel Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude. Today I primarily read books of contemporary writers: Raymond Carver, Susan Sontag, Mark Haddon, Amelie Nothomb, Alessandro Baricco, Rosettta Loy, Andrea Camilleri. My cult film is Francois Truffaut's Fahrenheit 451 based on Ray Bradbury's book, a cult book for me too.
I love the American cinema of the Cohen brothers, and the Belgian Darden brothers. Another director I love is Wong Kar-Wai and his "In the mood for love" is one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen.
I take photographs with a Canon camera, before with an Eos 300 D and now, recently bought, with a 40D. My lens are a zoom 17-85 USM (stabilized) F/ 4-5,6 and 24-105 F/ 4 L, 50mm F/1.8.
I also have a prosumer, Sony DSC H2, that gives me a lot of satisfactions with colors and sharpening.
I recommend reading two great Susan Sontag's essays about photographic culture "On Photography" and "Regarding the Pain of Others", and Scott Kelby's books on composition, technique and Photoshop.
