MBMB U.K. The French Caribbean Association was founded in 1998 in London with the aim to:
- Assist the French Caribbean community living in the U.K.
- Share our culture with other ethnic communities
- Support charitable projects in line with our core values through fundraising
Since November 2004, we are a registered Charity.
The Association comprises and supports members from the French West-Indies (Guadeloupe, Martinique, St Barthelemy, St Martin), other French overseas departments (Guyana, Reunion) as well as people from related cultures (Dominica, St Lucia, Haiti, Nouvelle Caledonie, Tahiti, Louisiana, Seychelles etc…)
Our Vision:
MBMB promotes cultural diversity in London by educating people inside and outside our community about our heritage and culture. We strive to strengthen bonds between different ethnic communities in London and help facilitate integration.
Currently we run monthly Gwoka (traditional music & dance) dance reheasals with the Zil'O Ka group as well as a Newsletter called KAY KA FET CHO (What’s up in Creole) to inform members about our events, relevant job offers, and promote small businesses in the community.
