I'm an amateur photographer keen to develop my skills, particularly studio lighting and portraiture.

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic (126 film format), this was the family camera. Then when I was about 12 years old I got a Polaroid but it was way too expensive to use on pocket money. At the age of 15 I got a Praktica. I used to develop my own films and prints back then. For years I never really attempted to improve other than upgrading cameras once in a while, I had Olympus 1n and 2SP bodies and a few lenses for many years. A few years ago I got a Nikon D50 and started to get interested again.

I'm an IT Consultant in real life.

    Kevin Farris says:

"This guy here is possibly one of my favorite contacts. Not only is he a skilled photographer, but he's also very honest. He asks intriguing questions that require us both to learn something. He is also very re-affirming. Take a look at his stream and you won't be disappointed. Add him as a contact and you'll be stoked to receive a comment from him."

"I participated in a 2009 photo a day Flickr group with Paul. From nearly the first day I have admired Paul's work. His landscapes from the US trips he has done are nothing short of spectacular and his studio work is outstanding. Beyond the basic photography Paul has a style with his processing and just plain image-making that is interesting and unique. I look forward to continuing to follow paul's image-making after the 2009 project is over and for a long time to come."

"Paul always has an eye out for something interesting and often comes up with interesting angles for his photography. Takes lots of different images and they are always cool to look at.

    Good work fella!"
