I'm a misplaced (displaced?) Washingtonian (the state not the city) currently living in a tiny town in Mississippi that is actually a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee. It's been a few years since my landing here and even though I think I am starting to blend in a bit and not look like I'm from another universe, I'm often reminded that this is not quite the case.

I love taking photos of everyday events, places and people. I don't have an expensive camera and often times I post pictures not because of how well they turned out but because of the stories they tell or maybe they just managed to capture a bit of the magic that you can see in everything when you look with 'open' eyes. And sometimes to the great disappointment of Flickr purists I just post up a bunch of snapshots to share with family and friends near and far away.
