"Witty and sweet, a comment from Pinky makes my day. (I know her name but I like to actually be able to refer to somebody as Pinky).
This woman has a great quirky take on the visual world and the best family album I have ever seen. She is to me, a photo rock star."

    Pieter Dirkx says:

"Pinkyhonor has some of the most magical and original photographs on Flickr… These images inspire and transport me in a way similar to the work of legends like Dianne Arbus, Michaël Borremans and David Lynch, but they have a lot of unique qualities that can’t be compared to anything else…so these comparisons would be a bit too easy...there’s a very distinctive eye behind the camera here…
There’s often a sense of filmic movement going on. Almost all of the pictures are both simple and complicated at the same time; one of the most important things for me in determining good art.
I look forward to what the future will allow her to capture..."

"I could say Pinkyhonor is one of the best on flickr but she is just one of the best. Deep, rich, beautiful, witty, heartbreakingly marvelous stuff and in a unique voice. Even if she's younger than me I want to be her when I grow up."

    Cyclops-Optic says:

"Some years ago my wife was doing a mixed media art piece about witchcraft. For it she needed a long shaft of wood that looked like it was aged. We bought an eight foot length of 4x4, took it out onto an area of concrete in the back yard and proceed to alternatively whack it with a hatchet and set it on fire. Back and forth until we got the look right.
Afterwards I found myself wondering if any neighbors had glanced out the window to watch what we were doing. What must they have thought of our little 'ceremony'?
Indeed we later found that one of our neighbors HAD watched us. Apparently there came a moment when the wife turned to the husband and said, "I think they're artists."
So of course I find myself thinking of PinkyHonor's neighbors and all the strange goings-on they've viewed in her backyard.
"Is that the Adams Family next door?"
    "No. That's just PinkyHonor's family."
    "Oh... That explains it.""

The work is consistantly high level, each image having a unique aspect, revealing a craftspersonship, sensitivity and dedication of a very high level indeed. Nothing is formula here. Her comments and descriptions are of the same level."

"Pinkyhonor has taught me that a mother can take photographs of her children that are artful, humorous, non-saccharine and unsentimental while still conveying the basic premise that these brilliant little beings are the center of her universe. Thank you for allowing us to laugh along with your family, and never at them.

    A true artist and inspiration."

"Pinky's shots are a wonderful combination of humor, art, and the perfect spoonful of the thorny tincture of unusual thought. Her titles are some of the best ever. Darnit. I want some of those titles. And those colors... oooh you can never have too much color when you look at Pinky's shots. Mighty fine color. Let's not forget the captions too. They're just as good as the titles. She really should write a book with some of this stuff - but don't tell her I said that... ;-)"

"pinkyhonor has a brilliantly creative eye. Peruse her stream and you'll find beautiful colors and creative compositions beyond belief. You'll feel like you're skimming through a childs mind, for the colors are of kids, yet the sophistication is of a master in mystery. She definately encourages creativity! Kudos to her!!! (SHE IS A TEACHER as well as a performer!) She consistently displays great images. She nurtures the children (as well as viewers) around her in the best way. Unlike some, she's like the jailer who has ALL the keys, opening everyone's door. Keep encouraging freedom. It does US ALL good!"
