Thanks for visiting my page and checking out the Photos. I hope you like something here. Feel free to view, mail or comment

I used to do a lot of slide film and development. That started out of frustration when I could not get back quality pictures from the drop-off photo developers. (Couldn't always affort a professional lab). After a while I figured I had to be able to do at least as good as a drop off process. So after Hunderds of Snap Caps and countless 100ft tins of slide film I felt comfortable with my NIKON FM and a handful of lenses. The self punishment in the darkroom lasted a few years when life got in the way and photography took a back seat to other life experiences. I have renewed my interest and I heard the digital approach calling out to me. I have always felt that the image capture should be the strong point of the photo creation process. (feeling that way and being able to always do it are sometimes two different things for me)

I think Photography requires two skill sets, The capture and the Post Production, Together they have created some very high quality works of art. To me it doesn't matter if you prefer Film/Darkroom or Digital/Computer a good Photographer should know skills with both the capture and production. I have found that the image, the PP tools, creativity and fun often make the best photos. The ease of computer modification sure is a lot less painful than my time spent in the darkroom. (I had some good time in there too but that's another story)

I would say the most important thing I've learned about photography is the ability to see the world through someone else's eyes. I see many great works of beauty that involve many different talents.

Over the years I have had a small quantity of worked published in Mags, papers, Ads, a book, websites and web newssites. I have also turned down use of my work for things I did not believe in. I am not a professional but the future can be surprising.

About Contacts and such. I try to learn from the talents and skills of my contacts as I hope I offer something to you as well. With that in mind I do not just collect contacts, I actually look at their work and will comment truthfully to them. I also purge contacts if this learning exchange is somehow not taking place.

***Just as I do all my own stunts, I take all my own photos. Good, bad or indifferent - I own them and copyright them. Should you want to purchase, lease, rent or use one for something please contact me here and I'm sure we can work something out. ***
