My original passion was bird photography. My most known photograph is the picture of a male and female superb fairy wren pair which has been published in multiple places:


I have been expanding into other areas of photography. This is one of my favourite images in the realm of Creative Photography:


I am also proud of this water drop refraction shot which got an acceptance at SSNEP 2011:


I hold a strong opinion that photographic equipment is far less important than photographic skill. All of my equipment is rather basic with exception to my 580EX II flash which has allowed me to go strobist. While I cannot deny that this has helped me take some of my images to a new level, the benefits were only possible through thoroughly understanding how to use it.

My favourite group on flickr is Photography Critique.

Lately there has been a small trend of people posting their own images in replies to other peoples' photos. Those who do it should be blocked. The purpose of replying to a photo is to show appreciation for the artist's work, not to bring attention to your own work. The latter is a form of spamming. I have no tolerance for spammers, sorry.
