I'm an addicted SLer, and one who takes Vernor Vinge's "True Names" a wee bit too seriously. Don't ask me for my RL contact info.

Anyway, so far, I'm mostly an explorer when it comes to Second Life. Which is made a bit harder by the fact that my computer is ... well, it almost meets the minimum system requirements, that's all I'll say. I'm also interested in building and scripting, though I've not done much of either, and I do enjoy chatting about music, cars, computers, science fiction and nonfiction, &c.

And I'm always glad to help a newbie. I've got a lot of good places for SL novices in my profile Picks, and if you ever run into me I'll be glad to show you the basics.
