ON ASSIGNMENTS



Soham carries two Nikon bodies: a film SLR (fitted with a 50mm lens and usually loaded with Kodak Tri-X 400 film) and a digital SLR (fitted with an 18-200mm lens; one 18-70mm lens is kept as backup). His black-and-white films are processed by Mr. Bikash Bose, veteran darkroom technician in Calcutta. Hi-Resolution negative scans done from Mumbai.

RELEVANT EDUCATION



Selected on full scholarship to participate in the 2011 ‘Changing Ideas’ Workshop, held in India and led by award-winning photographer Jonathan Torgovnik and the picture editor of The Guardian Weekend Magazine, Kate Edwards.

The workshop was meant for emerging photojournalists interested in perusing humanitarian photography seriously.
